Maundy Thursday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd ST., Lehighton begins at 7 p.m. Included at this time is distribution of First Communion to students following classes with the pastor. The solemn Good Friday Service of Tenebrae (shadows) begins at 7 p.m.

• Easter Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Communion is served by continuous line with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting. Rev. Nancy Moore presides.

There is no coffee fellowship, Sunday school classes or confirmation classes Sunday. Classes and coffee fellowship resume April 16.

• For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please preregister by calling the church office. Pastor Moore will meet with parents for baptismal instructions at 1 p.m. on April 16. New member class guidelines are by appointment.

• The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.

• The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. • Registrations are being accepted for the 2023-24 term at Jack & Jill Preschool. Phone the preschool at 610-377-6562 for information.

• Trinity’s 150th Anniversary events are a movie-theme concert by Alex Haggerty at 11:15 a.m. April 16; joint proclamations from county and state officials for Zion’s & Trinity’s 150th anniversaries at 6 p.m. May 20, followed by a “Faith Walk,” family movie “Jonah” at 7 p.m. May 20; anniversary festival worship at 3 p.m. June 4 followed by a catered meal. RSVP for the meal by contacting the church office by May 21. Anniversary T-shirts are available for purchase through April by contacting the church office. The next planning meeting is at 12:15 p.m. April 30.
