State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported on the following incidents:

• Police were summoned to a property at 102 Charles Court Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 5:06 p.m. March 28 to investigate a dog law violation.

Police said it was determined the dog had no collar and was off the leash for an unknown amount of time, entering adjoining properties.

The owner of the dog was issued a non-traffic citation, police said.

• Police were called to an incident at a business dealing in new and used firearms at 6:42 a.m. March 22.

Police said a suspect completed the state and federal application/record of sale form but was subsequently denied the sale or transfer of a firearm.

The business is located at 2164 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

• A 53-year-old man from Stroudsburg and a 47-year-old woman from Brodheadsville were arrested on harassment charges by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks after they were summoned to an incident at 6:46 p.m. March 29 along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical, after which time they ended up shoving each other with open hands to the face before they were separated from each other.

• Police were summoned at midnight March 12 to Watercrest Avenue and Sky High Terrace, Chestnuthill Township, to investigate a theft incident.

Police said the victim told them she observed five withdrawals of $100 each from her account by use of her ATM card.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported at 9:30 a.m. March 20.

Police said it occurred at 532 Skyline Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at a residence that is not lived in and appeared to have a broken window.

The owner reported the window was not broken the last time he checked the residence on December. They said no activity of squatting was observed, although two rear doors were found to be open.
