Maundy Thursday

Effort UMC will have a meal of soup and bread from 5:30 to 6:45 in acknowledgment of the Last Supper. A worship service will be held in the Sanctuary beginning at 7 p.m.

St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, will have covered dish supper at 6 p.m. in the social hall. That will be followed by a dramatic reading service at 7 p.m.

St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, is holding a Maundy Thursday Communion service beginning at 7 p.m. All are invited to spend a reverent, quiet, reflective hour sharing in the Last Supper as Jesus and his disciples did before His trial, Crucifixion, entombment and Resurrection. The church is located at 924 Route 115. 115, Saylorsburg (next to Dollar General)

Salem-St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kresgeville, will hold its services at 1 and 7 p.m.

Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, will hold its worship service with Holy Communion at 7 p.m.

Good Friday services

Cornerstone Community Church, Kresgeville, will hold its Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday. Childcare will be available.

Effort UMC will hold its Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville, will hold a Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran, Kresgeville, will have worship services at 1 and 7 p.m.

Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, will hold its Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

OES meeting

The Monroe County Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. next Wednesday and the election of officers.

Beef dinner
