Lukasz Gliniak, 31, of Stroudsburg, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after he was stopped for a traffic violation in a 2010 Ford at 3:28 p.m. March 27 at the intersection of Route 115 and Klock Road in Tobyhanna Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said they learned Gliniak was wanted by the county sheriff’s department. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police said Gliniak initially provided them a false name and a false date of birth in an attempt to avoid apprehension, for which he was charged and jailed.
