‘Enchanted April’ Tea

The public is invited to South Schuylkill Garden Club’s “Enchanted April” Tea at 5 p.m. on April 18, in the Social Hall of the First United Church of Christ, 110 Route 61, next to PSU Schuylkill Haven.

At 6 p.m., the tea, in traditional China, will be served with light refreshments.

At 7 p.m., certified floral designer Patricia Reppert will create multiple floral designs. She is a freelance florist, a teaching assistant at Bucks County Community College’s Floral Design Program, a host at design workshops and parties. She had a featured design in the Philadelphia Flower show this year.

The cost for the evening is $18. Checks are payable to SSGC and mailed to Nancy Russial, 1222 Schuylkill Mountain Road, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Scholarship

The South Schuylkill Garden Club will award a one-time $1,000 Scholarship to a Schuylkill County High School Senior who will attend an institution of higher learning in the field of: horticulture, floriculture, landscape architecture, conservation, forestry, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental control, land-use planning, land management and agriculture.
