ON THIS DATE MARCH 31, 2003

American Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, hosted a rally Sunday that was attended by over 75 people who turned out in support of U.S. Armed Forces.

Commander John Kennedy, Mayor Paul McArdle and Carbon County Director of Veterans Affairs Charles McHugh Jr. were among the speakers, encouraging attendees to remain strong and steady in support of the men and women serving our country, specifically those currently serving in the Middle East.

Elmer W. Heffelfinger, 30th District commander, served as master of ceremonies for the program.
