The Carbon County Bar Association presented each of the five community libraries in the county $3,000 donations to help promote literacy and to help them with operational costs.

Attorneys Anthony Roberti and Carole Walbert of the bar association made the presentations during a gathering at the Dimmick Memorial Library in Jim Thorpe.

Dimmick directors Susan Sterling and Thomas McBride accepted that library’s check while the four other libraries were represented by: Becky Wanamaker, Lehighton, Nancy Pascoe, Panther Valley, Diane Danielson, Palmerton, and Nancy Younker, Weatherly.
