Zion Lewistown
Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled at 9:30 a.m.
The Valley Christian Preschool is holding a chicken barbecue fundraiser. Orders are due by Thursday, March 30 and the chicken dinners will be picked up on April 15 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Tamaqua Seniors
The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on March 16 with 22 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading of an Irish Blessing.
Carol Walburn was added to the sick list. Birthday wishes were extended to Pat Fredericks.
The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. and the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.
Calvary Lewistown
Guest speaker Rev. Keith McCarthy will share the message at the 10:25 a.m. worship service at Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday schools is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening service at 6:30 p.m.

April 2, Palm Sunday Sunday school program at the 10:25 a.m. worship service. Easter Choral presentation “It Is Finished” at 3 p.m.
April 9, Easter Sunday, Sunrise service, 6:30 a.m. at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Rd., Tamaqua. This service is rain or shine. 10:25 a.m. service at the church with message by Terry D. Gerber.

Garden Club
Almost time for Spring and the first Lewistown Valley Garden Club meeting for 2023. It will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. (note new time for meeting) at Zion Church Memorial Hall in Lewistown Valley. New officers will be installed. The program will be presented by Porcupine Pat.
The arrangement to be judged is “New Growth,” using fresh greens and a baby animal accessory. Specimen is a forced branch (one specimen with no leaves) in a clear container.
