State police at Hazleton

• A 38-year-old Weatherly woman is the victim of a disorderly conduct after someone “egged” her home in Lehigh Township.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said they were called to a home on South Lehigh Gorge Drive, Lehigh Township, to investigate the incident that happened between 11 p.m. March 7 and 8 a.m. March 8.

• Jessica Sacco, 36, of Tamaqua, was cited by state police at the Hazleton barracks for shoplifting after they were called at 6:34 p.m. March 4 to the Walmart store off Airport Road in Hazle Township.

Police said she was observed stealing boys’ clothing valued at $138.79.

• Michele M. Ferdinand, 61, of McAdoo, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle mishap at 11:22 a.m. March 7 on North Chestnut Street in Banks Township.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said she was driving a 2008 Chrysler Sebring north in wet road conditions due to melting snow. She lost control of the car, which traveled off the right side of the road and struck a concrete wall before spinning clockwise after which time the car hit the concrete barrier a second time.

Police said the car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

They said Ferdinand was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
