At least one person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a crash in Rush Township. The incident occurred just after 3 p.m. along Route 309 at the intersection with Lincoln Drive. The victims were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. Hometown fire and Tamaqua Rescue Squad assisted with the extrication of the injured. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
