Lehighton Borough Council approved the following items Monday:

• The Lehighton American Legion will install a memory bench at the War Memorial at the Lehighton Veterans Memorial Park.

• A request from Weissport Borough for fire police assistance with traffic control for Armed Forces Day Parade May 20, if available.

• The Lehighton Area School District will have a commencement motorcade for the Lehighton Area High School graduating Class of 2023.

• The Office on Aging will hold the Carbon County Senior Games May 2.

• St. Luke’s Hospice Annual Bike Ridge from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3. The rain date is June 4.

• The Lehighton Downtown Partnership Spell Binding Street Festival Sept. 16. Councilwoman Autumn Abelovsky said last year’s event had rave reviews, but that the event could use more volunteers.

• Hometown Vintage Christmas Dec. 9.

• Approved placing an ad in the Carbon County Sports Hall of Fame program for $50.
