The sum of $118,447.46 was stolen in December from a Pottsville firm when someone interfered with a federal wire transfer.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the details Friday, identifying the victim as Northeast PA Settlements, Route 61, North Manheim Township.

Police said between midnight on Dec. 14 and 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 29, someone committed wire fraud to steal that amount from a Federal Reserve wire transfer.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
