Two vehicles, including a Mahanoy City police car, were involved in a crash at 3:11 p.m. Feb. 24 at the intersection of East Pine and Seventh streets in the borough.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Hopeton L. Brevett, 46, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition when he attempted to turn left onto Pine Street and the vehicle struck the side door of a 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Charles F. Kowalewski, 46, also of Mahanoy City.

No one was hurt in the crash and the vehicles were driven from the scene.

Police said Brevett was cited for “stop signs and yield signs.”
