The National Weather Service has issued a weather advisory for snow tonight. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible in Carbon and Monroe counties. The weather advisory is in effect from 7 tonight to 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Rain is expected to change over to snow by 10 p.m. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute.
Localized snow accumulations around 6 inches are possible within a narrow band across the Pocono Plateau. Snowfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour at times.
