Route 33 has opened in both directions after a double fatal crash Wednesday morning involving a tractor-trailer and several cars.

According to Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac, two people were killed, a juvenile female and a male driver.

The incident happened just before 11 a.m. in the northbound lane, just after the Saylorsburg exit.

Both lanes were closed from Wind Gap to the Lehighton (Route 209) exit.

Police have not released details of the crash at this point.
