Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Authorized the execution of the sewer main restoration project agreement. Last month, council awarded a bid for sewer main sectional repairs and road restoration project for $287,045 to Wexcon, Inc. of Mohrsville, Berks County.

• Approved a resolution for a grant application for a feasibility study for the Palmerton Memorial Park Association.

• Appointed Autumn Canfield to the Carbon County Tax Collection Committee.

• Approved a request from Lehigh Township for fire police assistance for its Sportsman’s Night event March 25.

• Approved bids for the sale of the 2010 police vehicle and scales.

• Approved a resolution for the first reading of authorizing records disposal.
