Kunkel decks Pottsville’s Wallace McFarland in 2:00 of his semifinal match, and then earns a fall of Blue Mountain’s Dan Luckenbill in 3:10 of the championship round. The two wins keep Kunkel’s record perfect at 17-0, which includes 15 pins. Fellow Blue Raider Dio Ciccozzi earns a second-place finish at heavyweight, gaining a pin in the semis before dropping a decision in overtime in the finals. Panther Valley’s Al Vavra also takes a second, gaining a 12-4 decision in the 135-pound semis before losing 4-2 in the title match.
