Kayla Herman announces she is seeking the Republican nomination for Carbon County controller in the primary election.

Born and raised in Jim Thorpe, Herman graduated from Jim Thorpe High School in 2004. Following graduation, she attended Lehigh Carbon Community College for two years before transferring to Wilkes University, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance in 2008.

Herman has been employed by RF Ohl for 15 years, with expertise in financials, customer service, and management skills. She resides in Jim Thorpe with her husband Jens and their two children, Ilsa and Otto.
