Tamaqua Seniors
The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Feb. 9 with 21 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “God’s Ray of Sunshine.” Mary Reed was extended birthday wishes for her February birthday.
The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.
Calvary Lewistown
The 10:25 a.m. worship service will feature the Calvary Band and messages of love and a President’s day celebration at Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening service of music and sharing at 7 p.m. No Wednesday evening service due to Ash Wednesday service at Christ Church, McKeansburg at 7 p.m.

Chili & Boilo Cook Off
American Hose Co #1 and East End Fire Co. are hosting a chili and boilo cook off on Saturday, Feb. 25.
