Carbon County Commissioners’ business

The Carbon County Commissioners approved the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday:

• Reappointed Susan Barradale of Albrightsville to the Mental Health/Developmental Services Advisory Board to a three-year term.

• A proposal with Bartush Signs of Orwigsburg to purchase and install an LED electronic message center sign for the parking lot booth at a cost of $18,950.42, including a five-year warranty on parts, free lifetime upgrades, cloud-based software and unlimited training and support.

Personnel

• Employment separation: Velicity A. Kuba of Weatherly, corrections officer, effective Feb. 7.

• Resignation: James T. Kmetz of Jim Thorpe, seasonal park maintenance, effective Feb. 6.

• Hire as recommended by department supervisor: Brandon T. Stuckley of Lehighton, IT specialist, effective Feb. 10.

Acknowledgments

• Courts resignation: Jessica L. Kosco of Weatherly, secretary II, district judge in Weatherly, effective Feb. 15.

• Sheriff changes of status: Brian D. Hawk of Kunkletown from lieutenant to captain, effective Feb. 2; and Timothy B. Dugan of Allentown, from sergeant to lieutenant, effective Feb. 9.
