Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Feb. 13-17 is:

Monday: Chicken Alfredo, Pasta, Broccoli, Jell-O or Deli Chicken Sandwich

Tuesday: Hot Pork Sandwich, Mashed Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Rice Pudding or Chef Salad with Chicken

Wednesday: Spaghetti and Meatballs, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Diced Pears or Beef and Cheese Sandwich

Thursday: Scrambled Eggs, Potatoes, Pancakes, Fruit Salad or Harvest Chicken Salad

Friday: Sausage and Peppers Sandwich, Vegetable Blend, Apple Slices or Pesto Chicken Salad

The center has announced upcoming events until Feb. 17: Game Day on Feb. 13 at 11 a.m.; Valentine’s Day Party on Feb. 14 at 10:30 a.m.; Speaker and Activity by Lehigh Valley Therapy Inc. at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on Feb. 16 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.

Chair exercises on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10 a.m. Cards, pool, games, available daily. New members always welcome.

Chili cook-off

Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008 will hold its first chili cook-off from 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 18.

Participants who would like to make a crockpot of chili to enter can register for the event at johnnaweaver0122@gmail.com. Entry fee is $10 and must be paid by Feb. 17.

On the day of the event, people can pay $5 at the door to try all chili.
