The first Dollar General has been proposed for Mahoning Township.

Township supervisors on Wednesday announced that a conditional use hearing for the Dollar General will be held at 5 p.m. March 8.

The Dollar General has been proposed by Miller Brothers, with JLM Real Estate Investments, for 1677 Blakeslee Boulevard.

It would be located at the light at Normal Square across from the gas station along Route 443. The area is zoned neighborhood commercial (C-2). The closest Dollar General is along Route 895 in East Penn Township.
