Weissport Borough Council will be conducting interviews to fill the position of police chief.
Chief John Urbanski gave his 60-day notice on Jan. 8, stating he had “too much on his plate.”
He will work until March 8 to help in the transition to a new chief.
Urbanski was hired in August 2022 to replace Matthew Williams who had resigned in March 2022.
Council members John Osborne and Brenda Leiby will interview candidates, Mayor Paulette Watson will sit in on the interviews. Council received seven resumes for the position.
