Palmerton Police Department responded to 168 calls in January. The following were charged:

• Rebecca Calmona, 42, Lehighton, identity theft and two counts of access device fraud, between Nov. 21-25 in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Hunter Schoch, 22, Palmerton, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of driving under the influence, and four summary traffic violations, on Dec. 31 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Anthony Diehl, 29, Bethlehem, two counts of forgery and two counts of theft by deception, on Jan. 30 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

• In addition, Palmerton Police issued 35 traffic citations: 10 for expired inspection, six for speeding, four for drivers required to be licensed, three for expired registration, two each for obedience to traffic control devices, driving under suspension, investigation by police officer, stopping, standing, parking violations, and one each for failure to yield to pedestrian, suspended registration, overweight vehicles, and inspection by police officer. They also issued 13 traffic violation warnings, and one non-traffic citation.
