Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, has announced the following schedule for the upcoming week.
• Sunday: Morning Worship at 10:45 a.m., Holy Communion. Worship service is in-person as well as streamed live; Jr. Church available for children up to sixth grade. Trinity Happenings
Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting.
The Rev. Nancy L. Moore presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.
A special offering known as the “Souper Bowl of Caring” will be received after the worship is completed. Volunteers in the narthex will be holding three soup pots. One pot is labeled “Philadelphia Eagles,” one pot “Kansas City Chiefs,” one pot “I Don’t Care.” Please place a monetary donation according to your preference. Donations benefit the Trinity Pantry.

Sunday Church School classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 begin at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for 7th and 8th grade students is at the same time.
For those desiring to schedule a baptism or desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please preregister by calling the church office. Pastor Moore will meet with parents for baptismal instructions Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. New member class guidelines will be Feb. 26 at 1 p.m.
The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. Sales receipts support the food pantry. Facebook: www.facebook.com/trinitythriftstore.
Trinity’s 150th Anniversary observance continues with Youth-featured worship on “Annunciation of Our Lord” March 26 at 9:30 a.m., Music Concert April 16 at 11:15 a.m., anniversary festival worship June 4 at 3 p.m. followed by a catered meal. The next planning meeting is Feb. 19 at 12:15 p.m. 150th Anniversary booklets are available in the narthex or the church office for pick up.
