A Northumberland County man fled a traffic stop in Schuylkill County and is now wanted on multiple arrest warrants.
State police at Frackville said a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped on Jan. 18 at 6:34 p.m. at Sunbury and Buckhorn roads, in Foster Township. Dale Hart, 39, of Shamokin, ran from the scene. A warrant for his arrest was secured and is active. Troopers also noted he has two more active warrants for his arrest issued out of Northumberland County.
Troopers reported on another incident stemming from a vehicle stop. On Jan. 24 at 11:22 p.m. troopers attempted to stop a 2005 Chevrolet along Peach Mountain Road at Saint Clair Avenue in Norwegian Township. The driver failed to yield and fled north on Peach Mountain Road. The fleeing vehicle then crashed and the driver fled on foot into nearby woods. After a short pursuit the driver was taken into custody.
He was identified as Jason Knoll, 20, of Pottsville. He was placed under arrest and charged with fleeing police and related counts. He was arraigned before a on-call District Judge Andrew Serina, of Orwigsburg, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville unable to post $15,000 straight cash bail.
