Senior Center
The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 3 is:
Monday: Stuffed Chicken Breast, Rice, Green Beans, Jell-O or Beef Club Sandwich
Tuesday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable Blend, Yogurt or Ham and Swiss Sandwich
Wednesday: Breakfast Sandwich, Potatoes, English Muffin, Fruit Salad or Beef and Bleu Salad
Thursday: Cream of Mushroom Soup, Breaded Fish Sandwich, Potato Salad, Orange or Chicken Caesar Salad
Friday: Beef Pot Pie, Mixed Vegetables, Biscuit, Pineapples or Salad with Chicken
The center has announced upcoming events until Feb. 3:
Scattergories on Jan. 30 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Jan. 31 at 10:45 a.m.; Games on Feb. 1 at 11 a.m.; Saran Wrap Ball Game on Feb. 2 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Feb. 3 at 11 a.m.
Chair exercises on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10 a.m.
Cards, pool, games, available daily.

Nesquehoning VFW Chili cookoff
Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008 will hold its first chili cookoff from 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 18.
Participants who would like to make a crockpot of chili to enter can register for the event at johnnaweaver0122@gmail.com. Entry fee is $10 and must be paid by Feb. 17.
On the day of the event, people can pay $5 at the door to try all chili and cast a vote for the best.
PV Golden Agers
The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on Jan. 23 with 12 members in attendance. President Diane Gould opened the meeting with the reading “There Is Peace With God.”
Steve Horsulak is celebrating a January birthday.
The next meeting is Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. at St. Ann Senior Apartments, Lansford.
