Blighted properties at 50 and 52 Hunter St. in Tamaqua were recently torn down to make way for additional parking for the American Primitive Methodist Church, which is across the street. The church bought the properties, which border an existing parking lot, late last year. The property will be used during Sunday services and for its busy food pantry. JILL WHALEN/TIMES NEWS
