Members of the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, fire police and auxiliary have finalized plans for upcoming fundraising events.

Chris Lilly, president of the Franklin Township Fire Company Auxiliary, outlined the fire company’s fundraisers.

Along with weekly Thursday night bingo, there are dances, dinners, high-stakes bingo, the annual car show and breakfast in June, the festive block party with fireworks in July, and the Giant Yard Sale in August.

Fundraisers

Feb. 11: Valentine’s Dance. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., meal is at 5 p.m., music from 7:30-10:30 p.m. by Night Flyte; cost of tickets $30. Contact Lynn at 610-393-9062.

March 11: South Penn Dixie Dance. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dance is from 7-10 p.m. Open dance, kitchen and bar open (cash kitchen/cash bar); a total of 250 tickets will be sold. Cost is $10 each. Contact Chris at 610-377-8573, or Pat at 570-778-9229.

April 1: Lehighton Rotary Craft Show. No admission price. Donations for parking will be accepted. Kitchen open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., over 50 artisans, live music, selfies with Easter bunny, Buster the Clown, Archery Range. Homemade food by auxiliary.

April 4: Easter Filling Sale (deadline March 31). $7 a quart. Call Chris at 610-377-8573, or Peg 610-379-4614. Pickup is April 4 11-3.

April 7: Good Friday Pizza Sale. Deadline March 17. Cost is $7 for plain pizza, $8 for pizza with pepperoni, or extra cheese. Pickup is from noon-3 p.m. April 7. Call Chris at 610-377-8573, or Pam at 610-484-464-0645.

May 20: Outdoor Adventure Day: Bigger and better than ever. Donations of three safaris, one for Argentina, one for Africa, one for New Zealand for silent auction; in addition to some local donations, trips, overnight stays. There will also be three food trucks; the kitchen will be open indoor and outdoor.
