Weatherly Borough will receive a $238,700 grant from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) to make improvements to Eurana Park, state Rep. Doyle Heffley and state Sen. David Argall said Friday.
“Eurana Park is a special place in our community where families can go and enjoy quality time with one another,” said Heffley, R-Carbon. “I’m grateful that Weatherly Borough will be able to continue to invest in the community’s beautiful recreational and outdoor assets.”
The money will be used to build a basketball court, pickleball courts and pedestrian walkways, install fencing and lighting, improve ADA accessibility and landscaping.
“Improved parks are a key ingredient in revitalized communities, large and small,” said Argall, R-Carbon/Schuylkill. “Further developing Eurana Park will benefit children, parents and the entire Weatherly community.”
