An Ohio man was injured and transported to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, after he was struck by a vehicle at 4:53 p.m. Jan. 3 on Route 940 in Mount Pocono.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Bradley Kirr of Akron was found in the roadway on the eastbound side. Police said witnesses told them they believe he was running into traffic and attempting to get hit.

Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck Kirr was fully cooperative during their investigation.
