State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers:

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 12:48 a.m. on Dec. 28 along Deep Creek Road in Hegins Township. Troopers said Erin E. See, 23, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra westbound when she fell asleep at the wheel.

The vehicle went onto the berm and struck an embankment, then overturned.

See and her two passengers, two boys, age 6, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 11:21 a.m. on Dec. 22 along Route 61, at the intersection with Builtwell Road, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Ryan C. Sisko, 19, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2015 Dodge Dart northbound on Route 61 and attempting to turn right onto Builtwell Road with Patrick J. McGeever III, 42, of Pottsville, driving a 2006 Ford Focus, directly behind him.

While attempting the turn Sisko lost control and entered back on Route 61 when his vehicle collided with McGeever’s.

No injuries were reported. The Dart had to be towed.

• Troopers investigated a hit and run crash in which three parked vehicles were struck by a tractor-trailer whose driver fled the scene. The incident occurred on Dec. 22 at 4:54 a.m. along Route 209 in Port Carbon borough. The struck vehicles were a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, 2007 Jeep Liberty and a 2005 Ford F150 truck.

The hit and run driver made a right turn onto 209, struck the three vehicles, then the driver fled southbound on 209.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 9 a.m. on Dec. 30 along Route 183 in Wayne Township. Troopers said William J. Lurwick Jr., 36, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2001 Buick Century northbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a traffic sign and two trees.

Troopers said Lurwick was under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody for DUI. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 22 along Route 61 at Tumbling Run Road in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Vincent A. Bartashus, 22, of New Philadelphia, was driving a 2009 Mazda 3 westbound on Tumbling Run Road when he attempted to slow down at Route 61.

Due to snow on the road Bartashus could not control his vehicle and hit the trailer portion of a 2020 Freightliner truck tractor operated northbound on 61 by Robert J. Ormiston, 60, of Zion Grove.

No injuries were reported.

Bartashus was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
