State police at Frackville are investigating an attempted burglary at a residence in Coaldale.

Troopers responded to a East Lehigh Street home on Dec. 21 at 7 a.m. Someone opened a bay window on the front porch of the home and cut a screen on the window. The criminals did not gain entry to the residence or take any property before fleeing in an unknown direction. The listed victims are a man, 44, and woman, 45.

The incident occurred sometime between Dec. 20 at 11 p.m. and when troopers went to the home. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
