Hoffman remains chairman in Eldred Twp.

The Eldred Township supervisors met Tuesday night for a reorganization meeting following by their regular meeting.

Supervisor Gary Hoffman was selected to be the chairman again, and Supervisor Blaine Silfies was selected to be the vice chairman.

Ann Velopolcek was selected to continue to be the secretary, administrative assistant and open records officer.

James Phillips was selected to be the treasurer and will be an earned income tax liaison with Ann Velopolcek. The earned income tax appeals officer is the Monroe County Earned Income Tax Collection Committee. Jonathan Gula was reappointed as the Public Works Department supervisor.

Other appointments

• Township solicitor and Planning Commission solicitor - Michael Gaul of King, Spry, Herman, Freund and Faul, $175 per hour for township affairs and $145 per hour for the planning commission;

• Township engineer - Brien Kocher of Hanover Engineering Associates Inc.;

• Sewage enforcement officer - Hanover Engineering Associates Inc., $77 per hour;

• Zoning Hearing Board solicitor - Chad Martinez, Esq., $165 per hour;

• Zoning Hearing Board reappointed members - Jack Yarashas, four-year term, and Megan Leblond, one year term;

• Zoning and codes officer, building code official, Uniform Construction Code inspector, and flood plain manager - Shawn McGlynn of SFM Consulting;

• Labor matters - Flamm, Walton and Heimbach, $265 per hour;

• Auditors - Kirk Summa & Co. LLP;

• UCC Joint Board of Appeals member - Bruce Gower;

• Vacancy Board chairman - James Leiding;

Other matters

The supervisors also voted on the following items.

• Wage increase - the secretary, treasurer, Public Works supervisor, Public Works staff, and custodian at the municipal building will receive a 3% wage increase that was included in the budget for 2023.

• Mileage reimbursement set at the IRS federally allowed level of 65 cents per mile and adjusted according to the IRS level.

• Meeting dates and times at the municipal building - Board of Supervisors: 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month except January, Planning Commission: 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday, and ETCC: 3 p.m. on the second Thursday.
