The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Jan. 9-13 is as follows:

Monday: Kielbasa and sauerkraut, peas, peachy applesauce or beef club sandwich

Tuesday: Orange chicken, brown rice, Asian vegetables, mandarin oranges or ham and Swiss sandwich

Wednesday: Cheese ravioli, spinach salad, orange or beef and bleu salad

Thursday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, pudding or chicken Caesar wrap

Friday: Chicken Alfredo, pasta, broccoli, jello or salad with chicken

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events until Jan. 20.

Chair Exercises on Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. followed by games at 11 a.m.; Guest Bingo caller from Red Lion Home Care on Jan. 10 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Jan. 11 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. followed by Bingo at 10:45; Balloon Tennis on Jan. 13 at 11 a.m.

Po-Keeno on Jan. 16 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on Jan. 17 at 10:45 a.m.; Games on Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m.; Drumming Exercise on Jan. 19 at 11; Movie and Popcorn on Jan. 20 at 10 a.m.

Hometown Heroes

The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2023.

If you would like to purchase a banner, applications are available at the VFW Post Home at 300 E. Center St.

Also if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2020, 2021 or 2022, renewal applications were mailed to the sponsor of the banner and the retired banner may be picked up at the post home. The deadline to purchase a new banner or renewal is Jan. 13, 2023.

Nesquehoning Conservation Club

There will be no meeting this month for the Nesquehoning Conservation Club.

The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 at the Nesquehoning VFW.
