State police investigated the following DUI cases:
• A woman who resisted arrest by state police at the Lehighton barracks on driving under the influence charges was transported to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, after the incident at 2:11 a.m. Dec. 23.
Police said they stopped the driver at Main and Lower Main streets in Parryville after observing Motor Vehicle Code violations and signs of impairment. Police said she refused to exit the vehicle, eventually failed field testing and then began to leave the scene.
She was taken into custody and taken to the jail.
• A 21-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop at 3:29 a.m. Dec. 27.
State police at Lehighton said he was driving a BMW at Route 209 and Weir Lake Road, Chestnuthill Township, when he was stopped for Motor Vehicle Code violations. Police found him to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia.
• A 29-year-old Saylorsburg man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after state police at the Belfast barracks were summoned at 9:08 a.m. Nov. 18 to investigate a crash.
It happened on Route 33 in Plainfield Township when the man was driving a 2014 Ford Focus. Police did not provide the details of the incident.
