Area state police released details on recent crashes:

• Nicole L. Bailey, 40, of New Ringgold, was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 in South Whitehall Township at 4:17 p.m. Dec. 6, according to state police at the Fogelsville barracks. She was uninjured.

Police said she was westbound in a 2017 Ford Escape when she made a lane change when the driver of another vehicle, believed to also be an Escape, entered the left shoulder of the roadway to pass Bailey. Police said Bailey’s vehicle hit the driver’s side of the other vehicle, whose operator failed to stop.

• Two vehicles needed to be towed from Hudson Drive in Packer Township after a mishap at 10:16 a.m. Dec. 16.

State police at the Hazleton barracks said Roman E. Rivera Coreas, 54, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was driving southbound in a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 that was pulling a trailer. Police said it began to “fishtail,” and was struck by a 2021 Hyundai Tucson driven northbound by Scott W. Fogel, 64, of Allentown. No one was injured.
