Monroe County crashes

Police reported on the following crashes:

• John Burrus, 83, of Brodheadsville, escaped injuries in a two-vehicle mishap at 5 p.m. Dec. 10 on Interstate 80 in Stroudsburg borough.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said the driver of the second vehicle, Leah Gonzalez, 26, and her passenger, Isaiah Gonzalez, 25, both of East Stroudsburg, sustained suspected minor injuries and were transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

Police did not provide any other details of the incident.

• A 2013 Subaru Impreza was towed from the scene of a one-vehicle crash at 5:19 a.m. Dec. 13 on the Route 33 off-ramp towards Saylorsburg in Hamilton Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said Thomas J. Fisher, 21, of Stroudsburg, was driving the vehicle when he failed to negotiate a curve. The car continued straight and struck a concrete barriers.

Fisher was uninjured but was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

• Jason R. Moschitta, 38, of Budd Lake, New Jersey, was cited by state police at the Stroudsburg barracks after a one-vehicle crash at 1:07 p.m. Dec. 15 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2021 Ram Promaster northbound at an unsafe speed as it approached a curve in the road. He lost control of the vehicle, which “fishtailed” as its driver’s side area struck a guide rail. After impact, the vehicle rolled onto its driver’s side and came to rest on top of the guide rail. It needed to be towed from the scene.

Moschitta was uninjured, police said
