State police at the Stroudsburg barracks are investigating a harassment by communication incident against a 15-year-old boy from Sciota.

Police were called at 11:55 p.m. Dec. 19 to a property on Mary Ann Terrace, Hamilton Township.

The boy said someone contacted him via Instagram. The suspect acquired compromising videos and photographs and then texted the victim, demanding monetary payments via Venmo.

The suspect said if the boy didn’t pay he would release the videos to his contacts.

Police said no money was paid by the boy.
