A 38-year-old Lehighton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance following a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police stopped the 2013 Mitsubishi at the intersection of Pohopoco Drive and Harrity Road in Franklin Township, after which time they determined him to be suspected for DUI.

Troopers did not release the man’s name.
