State police reports
State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a theft by deception impersonation case that was reported Dec. 3.
Police said someone on Allemaengel Road in Lynn Township was “conned” out of $9,400 through an online scam.
• State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating the theft of four tires from Kost Tire & Auto Service, 1981 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.
Police said the Hankook Dynapro AT 2 Xtreme tires were reported stolen at 1:52 p.m. Dec. 7.
• A 35-year-old Saylorsburg woman reported to state police at the Lehighton barracks at 3:07 p.m. Dec. 2 that she lost her debit card, only to find out fraudulent charges amounting to $716.83 were made against the account.
The woman resided along Spruce Road in Ross Township.
• State police at the Stroudsburg barracks were summoned on Dec. 11 to investigated an alleged instance of child abuse.
Police said it happened on Helen Street in Hamilton Township.
Police said it was discovered the victim is an adult. Nevertheless, police said, the incident is under investigation.
• State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft incident in which a Jim Thorpe woman is the victim.
Police said Janice Dellaguardia, 53, of 16 Sweet Brier Circle, Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, reported to them on Dec. 5 that someone opened a Bank of America credit card in her name.
• State police at the Bethlehem barracks are investigating a case of harassment by physical contact that happened at 8:39 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Kidspeace Hospital, 5300 Kidspeace Drive, North Whitehall Township.
Police said a 49-year-old Effort woman is the victim of a client vs. employee incident that resulted in a 14-year-old boy from Shamokin being arrested.
