Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Dec. 19-23 is:

Monday: Chicken Parmesan, pasta, Italian vegetables, orange or turkey BLT

Tuesday: Tomato soup, cheeseburger macaroni casserole, vegetable blend, pudding or beef and bleu cheese salad

Wednesday: Turkey and gravy, filling, sweet potatoes, green beans, pumpkin mousse or turkey cobb wrap

Thursday: Cheeseburger, potato wedges, broccoli and cauliflower, cookie or beef club sandwich

Friday: Glazed pork, sliced beets, brussel sprouts, apple slices or BBQ chicken salad

The center has also announced upcoming events until Dec. 23.

Christmas Party, Dec. 16 at 10:30 a.m. Horseracing on Dec. 19 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Dec. 20 at 10:45 a.m.; Balloon Tennis on Dec. 21 at 11 a.m.; Po-Keeno, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. Cards, Pool, Games, available daily. New members welcome.

Hometown Heroes

The Nesquehoning Veterans Banner program is now open for 2023.

If you would like to purchase a banner, applications are available at the VFW Post Home at 300 E. Center St.

Also if you purchased a banner to be displayed in 2020, 2021 or 2022, renewal applications were mailed to the sponsor of the banner and the retired banner may be picked up at the post home.

The deadline to purchase a new banner or renewal is Jan. 13, 2023.
