Trinity Happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 South 3rd St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. Communion is served by continuous line with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues.
Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting. Rev. Nancy L. Moore presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.

Weekly Sunday Church School for students ages 3 though grade 6 begins at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for 7th and 8th grade students is at the same time. Classes will not meet Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
For those desiring to schedule a baptism or seek membership, please call the church office to set up an appointment with Pastor Moore in December and January.
The Trinity Thrift Store is open without reservations. Shopping hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
Events continue in 2023 to observe Trinity’s 150th anniversary: family style covered dish dinner w/ entertainment by “The Amazing Magi” Feb. 4, youth-featured worship March 26, Concert April 16, anniversary festival worship June 4 followed by a catered meal. The next planning meeting is Sunday at 12:15 p.m. for anyone desiring to participate.
Christmas Eve services: 6 p.m. Family worship with Holy Communion and children’s sermon; 9 p.m. Candlelight worship with Holy Communion. Christmas Day 9:30 a.m. worship with Holy Communion and Hymn Sing.

Jacob’s UCC, 138 Franklin St. Weissport invites you to a special holiday service designed for those whom the holidays might be difficult.
If you have under gone a difficult loss, transition or life change, the church cares about you and invites you to a special time of music and worship.
Our Blue Christmas Service will be held Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be served after the service.
Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24. Experience a Christmas Eve service for the entire family including carols, communion and candlelights. (including a special time for the children). Invite your family and friends to come along.
Christmas morning service at 10 a.m. Come and enjoy carols and scripture service.
