• West End Festival of Lights, Thursday through Sundays, 5-9 p.m. at the West End Fairgrounds, Fairground Road, Gilbert. 100,000 lights and three mega trees sequenced to music. Food and craft vendors. Admission. www.wefol.com.
• Lights on the Lake: Holiday and winter-themed light displays throughout Mauch Chunk Lake Park in Jim Thorpe through Dec. 23, Lights at the Lake will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

• The Carbon Model Railroad Society will hold its Holiday Open House at 529 Ore Street in Bowmanstown on Thursdays, Dec. 1 and 8 and on Jan. 5 from 7-9 p.m. It will also be open on Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 10-11 and Jan. 7-8 from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free; donations are welcome, 610-826-6636.
• Jim Thorpe’s Memorial Park First Festival of Trees at the park along East 10th Street every evening.
• Palmerton Christmas in the Park, Palmerton Borough Park.
• Walnutport Trees, lit every evening, S. Lincoln Ave.
• Lehighton Christmas in the Park, Upper and Lower parks, evenings.
• Bach and Handel Chorale Inc., two Christmas concerts this weekend: 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 158 Fish Hill Road, Tannersville, and Sunday at St. Paul’s UCC, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown, free will offering.
• Hometown Vintage Christmas, organized by the Lehighton Downtown Partnership, will be from noon to 6 p.m. on First Street. Visitors can stroll through decorated downtown Lehighton and visit its shops and handcrafted vendors. There will be music, a visit with Father Christmas, and hot chocolate.
Among the activities offered will be Christmas horse and wagon rides, a kids craft corner, and pictures with Father Christmas.
