Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven will be increasing driving under the influence patrols and conducting sobriety checkpoints through Dec. 28.

The goal of a sobriety checkpoint is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related fatal and serious crashes and to reduce the number of DUI drivers on the highway.
