How long have you worked there: At LVHN for 10 years, worked in the Float Pool at Cedar Crest campus before transferring to Carbon campus in July 2022.
Why you like working for LVHN: I enjoy my role at the bedside because it allows me to provide personalized care to my patients and develop close relationships with people during the most vulnerable moments in their lives. I love being an integral part of our community by providing care, and getting to know our patients and their families.
Challenges/proud moments of your job:
Getting through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic tested my limits as a caregiver, but getting the appreciation and thanks from my patients over the years has made it all worth it.
Background, Education: Graduated from DeSales University in 1996 with my BSN.
Information about you and your family: I reside in Jim Thorpe with my husband, Kyle O’Brien, and our English bulldog, Dexter. I enjoy reading, crocheting and spending time with friends and family. We love to travel as a family to our favorite places in Maine.
