According to an affidavit filed by Lansford police, a woman reported on July 1, 2021 that she believed her 4-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by Kibler, who was the babysitter.
The woman told police Kibler has babysat before. When she returned that night her daughter told her that Kibler had pulled down her underwear in the bathroom.
That night Child Advocacy Center conducted an emergency interview with the child.
The child said that Kibler took her up into the bathroom and performed a sexual act on her, according to police. The child also said that Kibler had done this before when babysitting.
On July 13, officer Joshua Tom interviewed Kibler who told the officer that he did try to have sex with the child.
