Kunkletown fire company officials said Friday that it will serve its last fundraising breakfast Sunday.

The company posted on Facebook, “Unfortunately, attendance has fallen off since before Covid, and the rising costs of food, products and utilities, has created the perfect storm to where we would have to significantly increase prices to break even, let alone make a profit as a fundraiser.”

The company invited residents to support other fundraising activities and directed people to www.kvfc28.org and Facebook for upcoming fundraisers and raffles in 2023.

“On behalf of the Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co., we thank you, the public, as well as our municipal leaders, for all the support, making it so we can continue to provide fire service to Eldred Township.”
