What’s next at the Peak

Rock fans will celebrate 50 years of Foghat when Roger Earl and his band perform at Penn’s Peak Friday evening. The Peak, located at 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe, will also host a number of other concerts over the next couple of weeks.

• The Mavericks, 8 p.m. Nov. 12. A rock and country group, The Mavericks formed in 1989 in Miami. The act, with 12 studio albums to its credit., released a Spanish-language album, “En Español,” in 2020. The Mavericks features original members Raul Malo and Paul Deakin, plus Jerry Dale McFadden and Eddie Perez. The band’s hits include “O What a Thrill,” “There Goes My Heart” and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down.”

• Neal McCoy, 8 p.m. Nov. 18. Born in Jacksonville, Texas, McCoy released his debut studio album “At This Moment” in 1990, with his 12th and most recent, “You Don’t Know Me,” out in 2016. His biggest hit singles include “No Doubt About It,” “Wink” and “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On.” McCoy has embarked on numerous USO Tours around the world. South Penn Dixie will also perform.

• W.A.S.P., 8 p.m. Nov. 19. Formed in 1982 in Los Angeles, the heavy-metal band features frontman and original member Blackie Lawless. W.A.S.P. released its 15th studio album, “Golgotha,” in 2015. A re-recording of 1992’s “The Crimson Idol” followed in 2018. In the 1980s, W.A.S.P. was a target of the Parents’ Music Resource Center, which pushed for music warning labels. Armored Saint will also perform.

• Welcome Back My Friends: The Return of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, 8 p.m. Nov. 20.

Carl Palmer uses live footage of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, who both passed away in 2016, on video walls alongside Palmer and his band. Formed in London 1970, the progressive rock group released nine studio albums and scored hit singles such as “Lucky Man,” “From the Beginning” and “Fanfare for the Common Man.”

• Dark Star Orchestra, 8 p.m. Nov. 23. The seven-piece tribute band, formed in Chicago in 1997, performs the music of the Grateful Dead. DSO, which hosts the annual Dark Star Jubilee festival, has featured performances from Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, and toured with longtime Dead sound man Dan Healy.
