The Slatington Elementary School held its Students of the Month breakfast on Sept. 29 where it honored students for their contributions to the school, and their hard work toward being Responsible, Respectful, Safe, and Proud. Student recipients were invited along with their families to participate in a small breakfast and presentation ceremony hosted by school Principal Todd Breiner and school counselor Suzanne Mengel. The students were issued a certificate, information from their teachers as to why they were nominated for Students of the Month, and then they took pictures near their picture which is posted on the wall for recognition among their peers. The following students were able to attend the Sept. 29 breakfast with their families and are pictured with Breiner: Temperance Derau, third grade; King Dallas Adames-Devalle, third grade; Maddie Humanick, fourth grade; Carson Hartranft, fourth grade; Garrett Farkas, fifth grade; Bella Barone, sixth grade; and Keeling Moore, sixth grade. Also pictured are Amanda Beer, fifth grade teacher; and Sarah Fink, fourth grade teacher. Unable to attend the breakfast, but honored with their certificate in school (not pictured) was Vivian Mayak, fifth grade. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
